Beyond the Pantry Outreach Program
The Beyond the Pantry Outreach Program (BPOP) is an initiative by Love Wins NYC Food Pantry that bridges food insecure recent migrants to quality produce, with a goal to a broader network of resources and support. The BPOP has a specific focus on LGBTQ+ individuals in New York City.
The Love Wins NYC Food Pantry serves an important role as a first encounter through non-traditional outreach for LGBTQ+ recent migrants and can be a connection to accessing various resources and support through referrals. This program addresses the multifaceted challenges faced by LGBTQ+ migrants, such as language barriers, cultural differences, and limited knowledge of available resources. Beyond providing essential resources, the Love Wins NYC Food Pantry aims to create a nurturing community that goes beyond immediate assistance, offering a safe space for LGBTQ+ migrants to connect, share experiences, and build lasting relationships via volunteerism.
Join us in our commitment to addressing food insecurity, enhancing access to support services, and fostering a welcoming community for LGBTQ+ migrants through Beyond the Pantry Outreach Program
